Week 3 Debate

MONDAY’S DEBATE

Hello everyone! I hope you have settled into the new quarter smoothly. I’m fairly confident that this week’s debate will be related to something we have all been thinking about lately.

Please join us this Monday, April 14 at 7 PM in Scott Hall 201 as we discuss:

RESOLVED: Northwestern should comply with Columbia-like federal demands.

Keep an eye out for our debate primer, which will be posted this Sunday on the PU Blog. This resource, created by our brilliant Blog Editor, can be used to get a better understanding of the topic at hand.

CIVICS AND SNACKS

Political Union is hosting a one-hour event focused on immigration policy under the Trump administration. In light of recent policy changes, the event will feature insights from Professor Molina, followed by an open Q&A and discussion where students can share their perspectives. Everyone is welcome to join the conversation! The event is on Tuesday, April 15th at 5:30 PM in Kresge 2325.

BEACH CLEAN-UP

On Saturday, April 12th, students from College Dems, NU YAF, BridgeUSA, and Political Union will be cleaning up the Loyola Beach area. This is a great opportunity to meet new people while also giving back to the community. Food will be provided! Please see the info sheet attached to the registration form for more information.

DOOR REMINDER

Scott Hall's doors close and lock at 7 PM sharp, so be sure to arrive a few minutes early. If you arrive after 7pm, we always make sure to prop open a door: you can enter through the Sheridan Rd. side or the 1838 Chicago Ave. side.

CLOSING THOUGHTS

As always, we would love to hear feedback from the PU community. Please write to us at [email protected] with any thoughts, critiques, or suggestions for our future debates and events. We also invite all to submit to the PU Blog at the following Google Form.

See you on Monday!
