Tomorrow's Debate - Evanston Issues Take Center Stage

TOMORROW’S DEBATE

Hey gang! We hope everyone took advantage of a beautiful weekend, or at least a beautiful Sunday. We’re returning to the traditional debate format tomorrow evening to discuss an upcoming local policy matter: the potential construction of migrant shelters in Evanston. We encourage you all to show up to both learn about the issue and share your opinions on the legislation!

Please join us tomorrow, Monday, April 22nd at 7 PM in Scott Hall 201 as we discuss:

RESOLVED: Evanston Should Build A Migrant Shelter

We encourage everyone to read our debate primer, which has been posted on the PU Blog, to get a better understanding of the topic at hand. Also, we encourage you to show up to Harris 107 on Tuesday at 7 PM to check out our very own Clark Mahoney in the NUCR vs NU Dems debate.

DOOR REMINDER

Scott Hall's doors close and lock at 7 PM sharp, so be sure to arrive a few minutes early. If you arrive after 7pm, we always make sure to prop open a door: you can enter through the Sheridan Rd. side or the 1838 Chicago Ave. side.

CLOSING THOUGHTS

As always, we would love to hear feedback from the PU community. Please write to us at [email protected] with any thoughts, critiques, or suggestions for our future debates and events. We also invite all to submit to the PU Blog at the following Google Form.

We cannot wait to see you all at our debate tomorrow at 7pm! See everyone there!

Take it easy, folks.
