MONDAY’S DEBATE

Howdy Everyone!

Hope that everyone has been having a good week so far! Also - word on the street is midterms have started? Gross. Ideally, the crew is killing them #PUissosmart. With that, so excited to share our debate topic for this upcoming Monday!

Please join us this Monday, January 29 at 7 PM in Scott Hall 201 as we discuss:

RESOLVED: Supreme Court Justices should be subject to term limits.

Keep an out for our debate primer, which be posted this Sunday on the PU Blog. This resource, created by our brilliant Blog Editors, can be used as a resource to get a better understanding of the topic at hand.

LARGE LANGUAGE MODELS AND POLITICS EVENT

This Tuesday, January 30 from 4-6pm in Kresge 2415 Political Union will be hosting a watch party for a panel hosted by Northwestern’s Cognitive Science Department. We are very excited to host this watch party for you all and look forward to the topic! Speakers include Emma Rodman (Political Science, University of Massachusetts), Amy Zhang (Computer Science, University of Washington), and Annette Zimmerman (Philosophy, University of Wisconsin-Madison). Below is a description from the Cognitive Science Department on the event’s topic.

DOOR REMINDER

Scott Hall's doors close and lock at 7 PM sharp, so be sure to arrive a few minutes early. If you arrive after 7pm, we always make sure to prop open a door: you can enter through the Sheridan Rd. side or the 1838 Chicago Ave. side.
