MONDAY’S DEBATE

Good Afternoon everyone!

Hope midterms are going well and you’re all having a relaxing Saturday! Here are some upcoming events for PU.

Please join us this Monday, February 5 at 7 PM in Scott Hall 201 as we discuss:

RESOLVED: Former Harvard President Claudine Gay should have retained her position.

Keep an eye out for our debate primer, which will be posted this Sunday on the PU Blog. This resource, created by our brilliant Blog Editors, can be used to get a better understanding of the topic at hand.

CIVICS AND SNACKS

This Tuesday, February 6th at 5pm in Kresge 2415, Political Union will be hosting Dr. David Shyovitz and Dr. Wendy Pearlman to discuss the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict. We invite any and all to come prepared with questions for the professors and ready to engage in respectful discussion regarding the topic. Be sure to get there early as Insomnia Cookies will be provided. See you there!

WINTER SPEAKER EVENT

Mark your calendars for Thursday, February 15th at 6:30pm, as Political Union hosts its annual Winter Speaker! We are so excited to welcome these talented individuals onto campus. We will be announcing our Speaker shortly! See you there!

DOOR REMINDER

Scott Hall's doors close and lock at 7 PM sharp, so be sure to arrive a few minutes early. If you arrive after 7pm, we always make sure to prop open a door: you can enter through the Sheridan Rd. side or the 1838 Chicago Ave. side.

CLOSING THOUGHTS

As always, we would love to hear feedback from the PU community. Please write to us at [email protected] with any thoughts, critiques, or suggestions for our future debates and events. We also invite all to submit to the PU Blog at the following Google Form.
