PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS
The Northwestern Political Union was established to and hereafter seeks to be the center of undergraduate political learning, discussion, and debate. The Political Union aspires to be the center and director of student political discussion at Northwestern University; it wishes to serve as a model for undergraduate political discourse throughout the country and the world. Too often, political discourse at Northwestern and throughout the country is divided and shallow. Our goal is to allow students and faculty to engage with complex political questions in a friendly, civil, and open forum.
The executive power of the Political Union is vested in the two Co-Presidents of the organization. They oversee our executive board, which is collectively responsible for coordinating the organization’s meetings and events, securing speakers, recruiting new members, and otherwise advancing the mission of the Political Union. The two Co-Presidents are elected every year at the end of Winter Quarter, to serve a Spring-Winter term.
Please join us today, Monday, February 19th at 7 PM in Scott Hall 201 as we engage in our Presidential Elections!

Any member of Political Union who has been to at least one PU event is eligible to come and listen to the candidates’ speeches, participate in the open forum, and ultimately vote for their two candidates for the Co-Presidency. Hope to see you all there!
DOOR REMINDER
Scott Hall's doors close and lock at 7 PM sharp, so be sure to arrive a few minutes early. If you arrive after 7pm, we always make sure to prop open a door: you can enter through the Sheridan Rd. side or the 1838 Chicago Ave. side.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
As always, we would love to hear feedback from the PU community. Please write to us at [email protected] with any thoughts, critiques, or suggestions for our future debates and events. We also invite all to submit to the PU Blog at the following Google Form.
We cannot wait to see you all at our elections today at 7pm! See everyone there!
Retirement is coming so, so, so soon for the two of us. (She’s on the horizon. We’re excited to embrace her.) Love you guys.
