MONDAY’S DEBATE
Hi! Hope everyone’s week is ending nicely. With everything that has been going on in the news and on campus we hope to provide a space for considerate discussion. Tensions are high and we’d love to hear how you all are feeling about it.
Please join us this Monday, April 29 at 7 PM in Scott Hall 201 as we discuss:
RESOLVED: Universities should regulate political speech on campus.
Keep an eye out for our debate primer, which will be posted this Sunday on the PU Blog. This resource, created by our brilliant Blog Editors, can be used to get a better understanding of the topic at hand.
CIVICS AND SNACKS NEXT WEEK
THERE WILL BE CHICKEN SHACK!!!!
Join us April 30th from 5-6pm in Kresge 2420 with Professor Sarah Rodriguez in order to discuss the new abortion pill as well as the history of abortion in the United States. Click this link in order to gain some background information!
DOOR REMINDER
Scott Hall's doors close and lock at 7 PM sharp, so be sure to arrive a few minutes early. If you arrive after 7pm, we always make sure to prop open a door: you can enter through the Sheridan Rd. side or the 1838 Chicago Ave. side.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
As always, we would love to hear feedback from the PU community. Please write to us at [email protected] with any thoughts, critiques, or suggestions for our future debates and events. We also invite all to submit to the PU Blog at the following Google Form.
Have a good weekend!!
